Every community has a shelter or rescue organizations. If your community does not have one, why not start one yourself? There's so much you can do. You can donate money or your time. You can help feed and trap/neuter/release feral cats (also called TNR in shelter-speak). You could help catch a feral cat's kittens and get them real homes. You can go out into your community and educate people about the importance of spay and neuter. You can help people be better cat moms and dads. You can teach children about kindness and gentle handling of animals. There's so much you can do. You have no idea how good it will feel when you become active - even if its just with your checkbook.
